How Nivohost Processes Abuse Reports
At Nivohost, we take network abuse, security incidents, and violations of our policies seriously. Our abuse handling process is designed to protect our customers, infrastructure, network reputation, and the wider internet while providing customers with a reasonable opportunity to resolve legitimate issues.
Abuse reports can include, but are not limited to:
-
Spam and unsolicited email
-
Phishing and credential theft
-
Malware and malicious files
-
Hacking or unauthorized access attempts
-
Botnets and command-and-control activity
-
DDoS or network attacks
-
Copyright or intellectual-property complaints
-
Fraudulent or deceptive websites
-
Illegal content or activities
-
Excessive resource abuse
-
Other activities that violate Nivohost policies or applicable law
1. Submit an Abuse Report
Abuse reports can be submitted to:
Contact Page : https://panel.nivohost.com/contact.php
A useful abuse report should contain as much verifiable information as possible, including:
-
Affected domain, IP address, or URL
-
Type of suspected abuse
-
Date and time of the incident
-
Screenshots, logs, headers, or other supporting evidence
-
Relevant message IDs or transaction information where applicable
-
Reporter contact information for follow-up
Providing complete evidence helps our team investigate the report more efficiently.
2. Report Receipt and Initial Review
When an abuse report is received, our team reviews the available information and determines whether the report appears to involve Nivohost infrastructure or a Nivohost customer.
Reports may be categorized according to the nature and severity of the activity.
Examples include:
-
Spam
-
Phishing
-
Malware
-
Network abuse
-
Compromised account
-
Copyright complaint
-
Fraud
-
Resource abuse
-
Other policy violations
Not every report automatically results in suspension. We review the available evidence and circumstances before determining the appropriate action.
3. Investigation
Our abuse team may review relevant technical information, which can include:
-
Server and application logs
-
Mail logs and delivery information
-
Account activity
-
File and malware indicators
-
Network activity
-
DNS information
-
URLs and reported content
-
Resource usage
-
Customer-provided information
Where appropriate, we may request additional evidence from the reporting party or customer.
4. Customer Notification
When appropriate, Nivohost may notify the affected customer and provide information about the reported activity.
The notification may include:
-
The nature of the complaint
-
The affected service or account
-
Relevant evidence or indicators
-
The policy or terms potentially violated
-
Required remediation steps
-
A response or remediation deadline, where applicable
Customers may be asked to investigate their account, remove malicious content, secure compromised credentials, update vulnerable software, or otherwise resolve the reported issue.
5. Remediation
Depending on the incident, the customer may be required to take actions such as:
-
Removing malicious files
-
Cleaning a compromised website
-
Changing passwords
-
Updating vulnerable software
-
Removing phishing pages
-
Stopping spam activity
-
Securing compromised email accounts
-
Removing unauthorized scripts
-
Correcting misconfigured applications
-
Providing information demonstrating that the reported activity has stopped
For compromised websites or accounts, customers should address the underlying security issue rather than simply deleting the reported file.
6. Temporary Restrictions or Suspension
Nivohost may temporarily restrict or suspend a service when necessary to protect our infrastructure, other customers, third parties, or the wider network.
Immediate action may be taken when activity presents a serious or ongoing risk, including situations involving:
-
Active phishing or credential theft
-
Malware distribution
-
Active attacks against other systems
-
Large-scale spam
-
Botnet activity
-
Significant security threats
-
Illegal activity
-
Repeated or severe policy violations
In less urgent cases, Nivohost may provide the customer with an opportunity to resolve the issue before further enforcement action is taken.
7. Verification
After remediation, Nivohost may verify whether the reported activity has stopped.
Depending on the incident, verification may involve reviewing:
-
Server logs
-
Mail queues
-
Malware indicators
-
Network traffic
-
Website content
-
Account activity
-
Security configuration
If the issue has been satisfactorily resolved, restrictions may be removed where appropriate.
8. Repeat or Unresolved Abuse
If a customer repeatedly violates Nivohost policies, fails to respond to abuse notifications, or does not adequately resolve a serious incident, additional enforcement action may be taken.
This may include:
-
Continued service restrictions
-
Account suspension
-
Service termination
-
Permanent prohibition from using certain services
Refund eligibility may also be affected where permitted by the applicable refund and service terms.
9. False Positives and Incomplete Reports
Automated abuse systems can occasionally generate inaccurate or incomplete reports.
Nivohost therefore evaluates available evidence before taking enforcement action where circumstances permit.
If you believe an abuse report is incorrect, customers should respond to the notification with relevant technical information and supporting evidence so our team can review the matter.
10. Cooperation With Authorities
Where legally required or appropriate, Nivohost may cooperate with competent law-enforcement, regulatory, security, or network authorities.
Requests may be handled according to applicable law and Nivohost's legal obligations.
11. Reporting Abuse to Nivohost
If you have identified suspected abuse involving Nivohost infrastructure, please contact:
Email: abuse@nivohost.com
Contact Page : https://panel.nivohost.com/contact.php
Please provide sufficient evidence for our team to identify and investigate the reported activity.
For ordinary technical support, billing, or account questions, please use the appropriate Nivohost support channel instead of the abuse mailbox.
Our Goal
The purpose of Nivohost's abuse-handling process is not simply to suspend accounts. Our goal is to identify harmful activity, protect our network and customers, give customers an appropriate opportunity to resolve legitimate issues where circumstances allow, and take stronger action when necessary.
We encourage customers to maintain secure applications, use strong and unique credentials, keep software updated, and monitor their hosting accounts regularly.
